Tanner's call came in the mail in the late afternoon on May 18. Unfortunately Dad was at a conference in Orlando and I was flying out that evening to join him for a day. As soon as we got back on Saturday, Tanner was able to open his call. He had invited Uncle Eric, Aunt Amy, both sets of Grandparents, Mason, Muff and Giff. Unfortunately Giff wasn't able to come, but the rest were there. We even had a surprise guest as Camille got special permission to listen in on the call (she wasn't able to talk to us). Sister Tueller called us and then they put us on speaker while he opened it. Tanner got emotional when he read his call. He is so excited to be able to serve in the Peru Trujillo South Mission speaking Spanish. He will be reporting to the Lima, Peru MTC on August 16. It was a pretty amazing experience for Tanner. He knew after reading the call that Trujillo is where the Lord wants him to serve.
After we pulled out a map and enjoyed learning a little bit about Trujillo, we headed over to Culvers to eat lunch. Uncle Eric and Aunt Amy weren't able to come with us, but it was fun to have the rest go together. What an amazing day!
